I am a mother, and an alienated parent. I am also a survivor. I am a brave and strong woman who is more than just what happened to her. I am a kind, capable and loving mother. While I write from a mother’s perspective, I aim to communicate to a much wider audience, because the occurrence of the things I write about is not selective.
Anyone can be affected by separation, divorce, alienation, betrayal, abuse and trauma regardless of gender. These things are also not specific to any race, culture, orientation, financial status or other demographic.
Many of us are trying to make sense of the world we are now in, to feel safe again, to live within (or despite) some form of co-parenting arrangement (or none at all), to navigate various agencies, supports and legal structures, to help our children and to find hope again after our world has crumbled.
These stories are my observations as I try to find my way.
I share them to let you know you are not alone and there is hope.
